The Lagotto Romagnolo is a medium sized (24-35 lbs) non shedding ancient dog breed originating from Italy as a water retriever. It is said that most the water retrievers are descendents of the Lagotto. It is a versatile breed particularly known these days for its exceptional truffle hunting abilities, it is highly athletic and possesses exceptional nose quality and sharp intelligence.
